The project’s journey began in 2013 when GMADA acquired land under its land pooling policy. However, the absence of a mandatory social impact assessment caused significant delays, putting the development on hold for several years. Now, with approvals in place, infrastructure work worth over ₹50 crore is underway, including roads, sewerage systems, stormwater drainage, water supply, and electrical networks.
With infrastructure development accelerating, authorities plan to launch EcoCity-2 Extension along with EcoCity-3 in the near future.
